Super Dedicated Holiday Express Camp

During the Holiday Break (12/27-30th), MAC Goaltending will be holding a series of one day mini camps at Randall's rink in Troy for goaltenders of all ages. It will consist of small groups of 2-3 goalies and will be 3.5 hours total in duration. Each session includes 2 hours on-ice, about 45 minutes of goalie specific off-ice training, and 30 minute video analysis. The on-ice curriculum will focus on efficient movement and save mechanics in the first hour, followed by situational play and small games in the second hour. The off-ice regimen will complement the power and first step quickness needed for efficient mobility in the net. The schedule is as follows...

The AM groups will begin with off-ice training, while the PM groups will begin on the ice. To register, e-mail me with the preferred times and ALL AVAILABILITY. This allows the goaltenders to be appropriately grouped. Multiple slots are available upon request at a discounted rate.

FTD Camp

This full technical development camp at the Schenectady County Recreational Facility is open to Peewee through Midget aged goaltenders. The curriculum is built around precise movement and the most current and proper techniques for stopping the puck. A detailed breakdown of how to most efficiently attack every situation encountered in the net will be an emphasis and puckhandling will be incorporated as the week progresses. Each day will close with a series of fun and competitive games to help reinforce the material covered.

Training for the week includes 15.0 hours on the ice, daily goalie specific off-ice workouts, energy systems training, video analysis, Mac's Mind classroom segments to discuss situational game strategy, guest speakers, and more. The week culminates in the annual – and highly competitive - Breakaway Challenge on Friday. At the conclusion of the camp, awards and detailed evaluations will be given out. Each goalie will receive a camp jersey.

Girls Prospects Mini Week

For the first time, MAC Goaltending is offering a girls only mini camp for the serious/elite female goaltender in the age range of 12-16 who aspires to play prep and college hockey. This unique program at the Schenectady County Recreational Facility gives these caliber netminders an oppertunity to train together for three days, as well as get educated on the appropriate routes needed to be taken to attain their goals. Guest speakers from women's college and prep schools, as well as instructors who currently play at the collegiate level will be available all week to assist on both the on - ice curriculum and off the ice guidance.

High Performance Invitational Camp

High School, Midget AAA, Prep School, Junior, and College Goaltenders are invited to apply for this weeklong elite camp at the Schenectady County Recreational Facility. Attendance is by acceptance only. All shooters for this camp will come from NCAA D1 & D3 levels, Junior A, Midget AAA, and Varsity Prep. There will also be guest coaches and advisors.

The ultra-intense 3.0 hours per day on the ice will be spent on a curriculum that focuses on high tempo-high repetition and complex game situational drills. This includes athletic movement and dynamic puck handling. Small games will also be incorporated into the on-ice regimen to reinforce situational techniques learned and practiced.

There will also be two off-ice segments per day: one including high intensity goalie specific off-ice workouts and the other training the aerobic and anaerobic energy systems. Additionally, there will be daily video analysis, a classroom session and guest speakers. The on and off-ice segments will be very demanding, so to insure maximum benefits it is highly recommended that all goaltenders arrive in shape. Each goaltender will receive a camp jersey.

Foundation Nation Camp

This total skills camp at the Albany County Hockey Facility is geared for Mite and Squirt, as well as beginner level goaltenders.

The focus is on developing a solid foundation to build on. It includes goalie-specific power skating, efficient movement, and complete save selection skill set training. Isolated situational play will be incorporated into the daily regimen. Each training day will close with a series of fun and competitive games to help reinforce the material covered that day. Total training for the week includes over 12 hours on the ice, daily off-ice workouts, video analysis, and a shootout to cap off the week on Friday afternoon. All goalies receive a camp jersey and a detailed skill-set evaluation at the conclusion of the camp.
